According to the study, the increased probability of finishing the Abitur per child that went to day care programmes results in an average additional income of around 21,000 Euros (value of the life income including employer contributions to social insurances). Minus the costs for the nursery there is a remaining economic benefit of around 13,000 Euros per child.
